---------------------------------------
**VERSION 9**

Changes:

*The text has been put back in, as it is important for viewers to understand the joke being made, (for those not in the know, it is not wise to smile around Gorillas. They will mistake the bearing of your teeth as a sign of aggression).

*The images have been tweaked, keeping the mouths consistent from panel to panel.

*There are now a few different tee examples to show what the design would look like on different tee colours.

---------------------------------------

I welcome feedback on:
* The character design. Do you like them? Can anything about them be made better?
* The colours. Are these suitable colours?
* The composition. Should this be arranged any differently? Are the different elements in the right places?
* The size of each element. Should they be bigger? Smaller? Why?
* The action in the images. Is it clear what is happening? Could this be made clearer?

Thankyou very much for your help in this design process.

Dan.

Oh, and the joke about the gorilla is meant to be two-fold:

1, It is not wise to smile around gorillas because they might mistake it as aggression.

2, It is not wise to smile around the wearer of this shirt, because he/she is grumpy and tempermental! ^___^

I hope that is clear to enough people.

I'm not sure, maybe the gorilla see smiles as aggression thing is too obscure, i didi n't know that. could change the text just to "gorillas see . . . . "
maybe try a few a few different fonts
character wise, i really like the gorilla, but the baby/human could do with some work.

I agree that the gorilla seeing smiles as aggression isn't very common knowledge, but translating that idea into what you did is very good.

Maybe you can put in "Fact: Gorilla's see smiles as a form of aggression...and don't you make the same mistake with me!" I don't know, what do you think? Ahehe...

I'd appreciate a look at my design too: Chick Magnet

How about "Like Gorillas, I see smiles as a form of aggression."?

i actually really like this, i think it's cute!
i have to admit though, i didn't really understand the actions until you described it...
I think KDV's idea is good, with the "Fact:..."
Or maybe you could also put "Don't smile at gorillas" or "Don't smile at the gorilla". Dunno, just a suggestion...

need critique on mine too, if you have time to spare.

btw, the pink thing's (?) head is sort of "chopped" on the right side, in the first picture...dunno if it's supposed to be that way, but I thought i'd point that out.

Its feet are chopped also. Much better mouths.

I have no idea what is causing the chopping. It doesn't look like that in Illustrator (where I created the graphics) and it doesn't look like that when I put them into photoshop for the displaying picture. It only seems to happen when I upload them to this site.

I've checked the dimensions, and they are correct for uploading, so that's not the issue.

So the original graphics are FINE, but when I upload them to this site, the characters sometimes get chopped. If you look at some other versions of this shirt, you can see the top of the gorilla's head has sometimes been sliced off.
