Starts with a simple Business Tie at the top with the white collared shirt. As it moves down the tie twists and an arm and hand flow out spilling a coffee cup out. The lower quarter of the shirt would be tie-dyed with a coffee like mix of color to create a "coffee stain" on the lower part of the shirt below the coffee cup that is spilling. The design elements still need some work to add little details throughout, but the overall concept and layout is what I'm hoping to get feedback on. Heck any feedback is welcome.

Bump. Any comments on what parts need work. I know it needs work but some feedback on what you all think would be helpful.

I just picked a blue that I liked. It does look like cornflower blue though doesn't it.

Cool cept. the only element I don't like is the gradient, I don't know how you could fix it but it just doesn't sit right with me. But thats my tastes Maybe you could also extend the buttons on the shirt to the bottom.

yeah I wasn't sure if I was happy with the gradient at the moment, it was left over from the original collared shirt illustration. I may try to either fix it and add more to match around the design or ditch them for the harder shadows.



I thought about adding the button and seem line down the front of the shirt... perhaps I'll go ahead and try that.

just ignore this one, I'll probably just throw it away anyway at this point. or it will just go into a folder that I'll never touch again... oh well.

maybe instead of the gradient, use an actual coffee stain, or you could use watercolors for it. and have it splashed under the coffee cup. & i agree with the buttons coming down mos def.

I love this! However, the gradient at the bottom kind of ruins it for me.



I think it'd look better with perhaps a small "puddle" of coffee nearer to the bottom of the t-shirt, rather than the gradient - as it doesn't make much sense.

the gradient is just supposed to represent the area that would be tie-dyed. I didn't spend enough time trying to make it look like actual tie-dye so you get a gradient instead. Thanks.

I think there are a few things I'd like to fix and I'll try to update it again this weekend.

I'd like to see the whole bottom free of so much stain! i'd get rid of all the stain!

Fixed a bunch of little stuff. Thanks to a friend I was able to fix a few proportions that were wrong and add a few little details.

i dont think i like the stain, i would prefer the picture just with the cup spilling and no stain

I decided to ditch the stain. It didn't look very good at all. I also tried a light blue in place of the orange.

This is definately better than the others. maybe you should have a small stain under the cup? This way, the concept of the stain actually gets across without having the giant coffee stain at the bottom. Does that make sense? Just an idea.

im thinking the tie needs one of those tabs that are stitched on the inside that the little end is supposed to go into

the tie should have like a tag like what brand it is.

One thing I hadn't noticed, I think the pinky finger is in kind of an extreme bend, it looks a little unnatural.

I like V4. I think the coffee guys just start to confuse things. But I do like the darker color of the coffee in V5. In V4 it kind of looks like tea.

Yeah I think I'll have to fix that pinky finger a bit. I'm going to try a few stains on the shirt below the coffee cup but not like the v3 ones. I also think the Little Guys are out so I'm going to improve on Version 4 as a starting point.

Updated the hand, added the watch, removed the little guys, fixed some shadows, and altered the colors just slightly.

I'm also open to a new name for the design.

I may go somewhere between ver 4 and ver 6 for my final. I may tone down the watch a bit, but I like how it balances out the coffee cup.

ok now I'm just confused.

Did some minor fixes. I found an extra color on the design so I needed to convert it to one of my 8 colors. I also removed the watch but left the stain. I still need a good title, so any help there is welcome.

i like it a lot. don't think there should be a ring though. maybe just a splatter and a drip or two.

Not sure if this has been mentioned or not, just wanted to get it in before I go to sleep. But what if you used a watercolor type thing for the stains. Right now they look too opaque, and I think if you just did the "coffee" in watercolor, it'll look interesting. Otherwise, I love the design!

Well without going the simulated process color route the inks would have to be a bit opaque.



Does anyone have any title suggestions?
