I'm ok with no background. Don't think the dotted line under the party had it necessary. The image is strong without it.

The words "Hat Party" are helpful to the image, maybe those words handwritten somewhere around the image.

Yeah, I think you may be right on the dotted-line thing. I'd rather keep the design text-free though, as that seems to be the thing most people shout as soon as they see a design with text ("lose the text!"). The main humour, I feel, is in the hats' expressions anyway, and the idea that the party hat cant see. I don't think its absolutely necessary for it to be overly obvious that the hats are at a party.

Yep - i like the colors. As for the rest I don't think you need the stumbling line-but honestly it doesn't bother me too much.

I actually like the drawing style of it.

No worries, this isn't the final artwork, this is just a rough sketch! I just wanted to see what people thought about the concept and the composition.



There's not too much to get about the idea itself, just kind of fun nonsense. "If hats wore smaller versions of themselves then party hats would have a hard time seeing" is all there really is to it!

Ha, I showed this to some friends and they asked me that too. It's just a bit of nonsense, a doodle I decided to try out. I figured the hats on top are sad because they're basically possessions of the larger hats, or so I believe.

But then why isn't the part hat on top dancing sad too ?

Cuz he's stickin' it to the man! (The man being the larger party hat)

that middle top hat shouldn't have a top hat the same color!

I was wondering if that would bother people. I wasn't quite sure myself. Think I should just swap the two colours of the smaller top hat so it's opposite the larger one?

The only thing that i could suggest for this have already been suggested :P if you submit a new version ill put in a valuable effort ^.^
