cute, I like how all the bananas have different poses, but everything is so small on the shirt it's hard to get the concept right away. maybe make it all bigger and closer together, and maybe draw out who's there in some different styles so that it's easier to tell that this is a knock knock joke.
I kind of want it to read as a pattern from a distance and on an actual shirt it will of course all be bigger, so maybe I need to work on the threadless presentation part of it first and then get suggestions?
You broke the rule of three, and it suffers because of that. Same thing more than three times becomes unfunny or at least less funny. That, said, your design is too busy, the eye has nowhere to rest. I'd cut about half of your bannanas and increase the size of your drawings. It's a weird idea, but then again, this threadless. I like it, but it needs a lot of wrk before subbing occurs.
It's a nice idea and a good design. It's not quite my sense of humor though. I can't think of anything that needs to be done in particular. I guess I never thought the joke was very funny and even though I like the banana guy that you made he doesn't do enough for me to make the t-shirt have much staying power.
I like that you're visualizing a classic joke, so the idea's good. I think a better presentation of it would be to have a line of bananas at a door, and one orange at the end, though.
Great concept, but maybe streamline it a little. I can picture a complete stranger standing quite awkwardly in front of you, his eyes jotting from left to right, and after a good minute letting out a guffaw before continuing on his way. Those may or may not be good times...
I agree with cristoval. as a design: my first thought was that this could be simplified by a lot without losing the point, and hopefully avoiding some of the "copy/paste" criticism you'll eventually get in the voting area.
However, I gotta be honest, I'm just not digging the joke. If you simplified it down to just that very bottom line over the shirt seam with the door and the three bananas, then the one that says Orange... that would be a slightly different take on it, rather than just re-telling the old joke with icons and graphics.
