i dont like the claws. the rest is sweet.

I don't really care for the claws either...maybe just a silhouette of a creature. Other than that, I think it's dandy.

Maybe see how the claws look with the palm, thumb and writst gone. I like them, but see what people mean about them not fitting hte design just right. Other than that, perfect!

the string of the light hanging right through the middle is distracting. I'd remove it, or make it much shorter, so it ends above the kids' heads.



You don't need the words on the toy box, but you need to redraw the toys. take the words away, let the toys spill out of the box more maybe even make it look like a Toybox, instead of a cardboard box, and show toys that are obvious children's toys, like teddy bears, dolls, checkerboards, etc

I think the claws could be better if you faded them at the arm, so the wrist and hands are solid but the rest is faded

I really like this design a bunch! I too think that the claws could look a tad better by having them fade back into the darkness! However, I think the position of the chain for the light is necessary to stay where it is. It makes whomever wants light for the basement walk down the dark stairs to get to the string! Nice job and great idea!

this is pretty much awesome! but i agree the claws aren't working for me try tentacles maybe or show the arms going to where the is body is suggested! other than that FANTASTIC!

I think the whole monster should be a silhouette not just the hands. How come toy boxes are always at the bottom of a scary staircases? That was the same for me growing up. The boy's right hand also looks a little long in the forearm area. I think he could touch his toes without bending over. Cute design though. I likes it.

I chose to fade the hands into the darkness because I wanted the creature to be subtle and left up to the viewers imagination. Thanks for you comments in the previous version!! :)

I really like it, and I think it's pretty much ready for submitting. Personally I'm not a huge fan of having that much shading, but it's still good regardless.

I think it's cool.. . ....certainly something I'd wear. A couple of suggestion though.. the thin black line for the edges of the walls is a bit heavy in black. I'd suggest the same brown as the box. And the yellow highlight on the last 2 steps doesn't seem to match the highlight on the wall. ...Love the mock-up picture of the kid. Very cute..!!

Maybe a bear in the girl's hand instead of a blanket? That's literally the only thing I can think of, and it's purely trivial, up to you, I don't think it would make it better or worse, it would just read slightly different, depends what you want!

My only comment would be, is the writing on the box really necessary? Maybe just Toys if you kept it. Either way it would not stop me from wearing it.

Ok so this maybe a little crazy but....



use some UV ink on the light bulb so it is nice and bright for the kids and some glow ink in the monsters eye so its scary in the dark.
