wheres the other versions??

I had submitted this idea previously for a critique, but it ended up changing so much i withdrew it for a time until I had an idea of where I wanted to go with it.

Any comments or suggestions would be welcome.

i liked when u had the buildings in the back all black

well they we never black they were brown but ok.



btw the dots are going to be glow in the dark, there's more glow to be added, i just haven't decided how to do it yet

really like the little girl, maybe just a silhouette of the buildings?

I like the color story on the chocolate shirt. looks like it would also work well on a canary shirt.



Why is there a mustache on one of the buildings? why not all of them, or no mustaches at all?



The gradient/halftone under the design seems a bit wide to me. maybe decrease the area of the halftone to fit the width of the buildings?



As for the idea behind the design, I'm left wondering why radioactive girl isn't mutated, or the buildings haven't been exploded.

well the radioactive part of the title comes form the fact that she's the symbol for radiation hazards.

ok, i had somebody point out the mustache to me...those are potted trees but i guess they need to be altered...

drawing police. the ring on the mushroom cloud is fighting the building perspective, it would be at eye level and we could maybe see under the mushroom "cap".

Nice, I like it, but I'm kind of biased toward anything with cubes. I love them there cubes.

I agree about the mushroom cloud perspective. I knew something was bothering me about it, but couldn't quite figure out what it was.

Keep in mind that the design will not be greyscale. I simply did this for ease of drawing and will play around with coloring the layers when I'm done. realize this version is much different form the first one, but I hope people will still be able to give some feedback.

I like this version better. Her hair looks a bit too rigid for me.

Also her expression looks a bit funny. I kind of wish both eyes were

the same... just a thought.

The second version is kinda COOLER with the town gray scale... and the radioactive girl could be in color??? That's how I look it now, but sure waiting for your new version !!!!!

I decided the cloud was too simple...there's still things I need to finish... but I wanted to update this thing.

Majorrrr improvements since v1, really great progress. And yeah, cloud improvements are sweet, too.

There seems to be a dissonance between the style of the shadows, which are pretty much blurs, to the style of the girl and the city, with really hard edges, and even the explosion which has a soft edge to it. Unify the piece by using the same style throughout...I mean, you don't have to add an outline to the shadows, but I think you could touch them up somehow, or...something. Idunno, they just don't seem like they could exist happily on the same design right now.



I'm also not completely satisfied with the city. It doesn't please my eyes. The destruction doesn't seem realistic, but at the same time the style is really cool.



Idunno, I think it needs work but I'm not 100% sure what right now, other than what I already said. I'll check back in and see if I can be more clear after an incubation period.

Try to make the over all flow better, and try adding more of the lighter grays on the left side of the cloud.

I kept working with the cloud and added yellow back in...

I like this a lot more than previous versions. I think its ready.

I don't know. I think there maybe needs to be a bit more contrast in the greys...

if people are going to say don't submit, I'd appreciate a reason. This design has generally received favorable reactions. Basically I want to know if people just hate the design or there's something specific they don't like.

i like the girl in yellow! but i have the feeling the building need a little more detail.. just a little!

I'm thinking of submitting this as soon as I clean up edges and whatnot...what does everyone think?

I like the use of the glow in the dark ink, very nicely done. Looks about ready to submit to me.

I'm glad to be almost done with this. I've been working on this off and on all summer...
