First try at a submission (be gentle!), definitely looking for feedback. Thought this was fun and design reminded me of childhood!

It's a good idea but you should have him hiding and peeking over a red stripe somewhere. Otherwise its cool. Please check out my submissions as well.

Exactly what I meant. I was going to say the hands over the stripe or something.

It's an interesting idea, but Waldo is a copyrighted character, and Threadless wouldn't be able to print it without getting permission from the copyright holder, else they could get sued. And I think their policy is printing copyright stuff is to not even bother.



Maybe if you did a where's Waldo parody instead? That way you could achieve the same thing without infringing on copyright.

Thanks for the comments! This is the updated version with him hiding and peeking more. Also to (hopefully) avoid copyright stuff i changed his hat to blue and his hair to blonde, not sure if those are enough changes to dodge things, but i hope so! Please critique, thanks!!

Yeah this is cool I wish he could be the real waldo but this is cool I like it. If you made a pocket and he was peakin out of it then it would be freakin sweet. Make sure the pocket is on the upper right area .Awesome shirt. And thanks for the comments.

i like it both ways, pocket and stripe. And this guys name could be Maldo or something, like mario's evil brother is Wario, only backwards.

I think that if you're going to make him blue, you should make the stripes blue too?

Or maybe you could do a black and white one. But otherwise i agree with kihou.

Nice job yeah the blue and white stripes might be good. One you change the stripes blue I'll be good to go.

how about avoiding the copyright issues by showing a Waldo-shape trapped under a red stripe and put hat in the whit space in between red stripes.

ok, so this didn't get through due to copyright issues, which i totally don't get since i changed all the colors, and hid his face. any suggestions as to how i can get this past the copyright issue?

The concept of a character peeking out of the shirt pocket is cute.



As for the copyright issue, maybe simply design a new, original character? Maybe wearing a baseball cap.



Or, better yet, maybe design a baby kangaroo (Joey), peeking out of the pocket? That would be super-cute, and I would buy this for my friend's three kids.

Ok, updated version, back to red and white but changed the waldo hiding in the pocket to a kangaroo hiding in the pocket. Any suggestions?

Awesome concept! You might want to give the kangaroo a bigger Waldo hat since it's kind of small, and it's a little hard to make out the glasses on that dark brown.

Agreed. Sweet design, (and thanks for your crit), I'd make the Kangaroo a little bigger too, along with the hat. Still, really like this.

I just don't know if this design works without using Waldo. But that would be copyright infringement. =(

Can threadless do striped shirts? Inky wrap-arounds can make the shirt trap yr bodyheat and you helter swelter. I really like the printed pocket element.

Ah, curse those copyrights! V4 was so good. That kinda changes the whole concept, doesn't it? Not to put a damper on your spirits or anything, but I don't know if anyone will get it now that it's not waldo.

I can't really see the details on the kangaroo. Could you give us a close-up?

What if you nixed the pocket idea and wrote, "They'll never find me," on the front?

I think that it would be cool if Waldo was peeking around the back that way it is easier to figure out what's going on in the shirt for those who aren't immediately familiar with the red and white.
