A design inspired by the luchadores. It's a belt print but i wasn't sure how to submit it as a belt print. If any one knows if i did anything wrong in the submission please let me know.

i think i would just like it with a line of the heads..

if you made that many individual heads that would kick ass

I think it does work as a pattern, and as for the copy pasting. I've never before minded that when it was a belt print.

If you are going to keep the belt print idea, I would suggest making a few lines a little thicker. than the pattern will be more interesting.

oh, and try some more color combinations.

Lots of options with only one color ink.

To clarify - I really like the idea of having it as a pattern, I'm just not sure it's working just yet.



Also think repetition of the same heads is fine. Be nice to see a little more variety - either by varying the thickness of the line (as above), or introducing some tonal variety.



Maybe some could be upside down? Maybe, maybe not.

what do you mean by making some lines thicker? do you mean just very the lines on the heads?

I meant this,

If you look at the shirt as beltprint, (look at the picture) you'll notice that some things will stand out a little (like the eyes of the middle figure, or the double lines you used in the first figure) If you can find a way to have e few more of these by adding a little more contrast in your drawings, it will make the pattern more interesting.

I think I would rather see it as a single chest level line of the five heads, maybe with you sort of colored back shadowing effect. When I am home next I will try and show you what I mean.

I updated this to just be the five luchadors. I then decided it needed some color, what do you think?

I agree no words. I do miss the pattern style of version 1 but I like this one as well. The color selection is ggood.

I love how the colors turned out, I think it really works now. You might try and mess around with different shades to see what the effect is, but I really like it as is.



I am not really sure how I feel about the text. I think it works with or without it, but I think it might be stronger without it. If threadless picked this thing up, I have a feeling they will have you get rid of them anyway, so I would see what it looks like without them now.



If you are dead set on a belt print for some reason, I think it might work if you had one row be colored and the rest not. And maybe a little bigger than you had it before. I really like it as a chest strip though.

Color is good. Can also see this as 4 heads blown up big, 2 per row. Don't mind the words.

I think your original instinct to make it a belt print is what gave these illustrations the madness that made it attractive to begin with.
