I was inspired by a picture of a hummingbird sitting on razorwire and decided to make an abstract "t-shirt" type version of it. The image uses 3 colors in a halftone style.



I'm open to any suggestions, comments, color ideas, etc!

the moons are a little bit awkward though.

maybe make the second biggest a bit smaller?

Definitely ditch the moon things. I would love to see either a few more loops of the wire or a few more birds, or both. But I think it there was more wire, it would be more obvious that's what it is.

Its good I like your color sample clouds so much Id kinda like to see one of those worked into the design. Maybe one partly covering the moons/suns

yes, replace the triple dots on the moon with a cloud or two would be better.



I like what pajamasquid is saying, but I love the bottom parts of the razorwire. If you pull in more, make it perpendicular to the existing, or elsewhere. Maube a roll or loop of it retreating towards the moon?

They're already as close to razorwire as they can be, really, without making the bird not look like a bird. the bird isn't razorwire.. he's just perched on it.

I've got the tips of his wings almost touching some of the barbs on the wire to make it all look connected

yeah very very cool. me gusta el negro. at first i agreed with orcsbane, but now i kinna like how the bird seems to blend in with the razorwire. if that wasn't your intent though, i would make the razorwire all grey instead of have the gradient...
