Things are usually easier when you take them one step at a time.

Same thing with a different kind of arrows.
I'm not sure but I think I like the 1st one better.

I agree, I like the first one better too. I really like the idea and I think it is well executed. My only complaint is that step 1 and 2 are very similar, just shifting a few things around. Maybe come up with a different step 2? Still something very simple, like maybe one foot and a hand print and nothing else just to distinguish it from step one.
Good luck and I hope this helped in some way. |
I actually wanted the 1st 2 steps to be very similar and very basic so the gap with the 3rd one would be that much striking. But maybe I should try something with a lateral movement....

I wonder, since you went with the very textbook feeling arrows, which I like by the way, should the rule/line below "How to BreakDance" also be more textbookish instead of hand drawn? I think this could work either way and is a 5 in my book.
You must have some very sensitive ESP powers because I was actually wondering how to design a line that would look both Schoolbook-like and a liitle bit worn out at the same time. Still working on it.

why do you want it to look a little worn out? and will you apply this to the arrow lines too?

I like both versions, I'd buy either! If you go with the text book look, maybe try with some more standard looking footsteps. Love it!
Based on the researches I've made before drawing them, the shoeprints are pretty standard for dance steps diagrams.

I love it! Maybe include some intricate angels to it. I say print it!!

Don't get the part about Angels (sorry Guys English isn't my 1st language...)

New Style for the horizontal line, small tweakings here & there (mostly on step 3)

I think the only thing you might want to look at is the smoothness of the edges on the foot/hand prints. If you look closely, they've got a slight case of the jaggies. If you fix that, this design gets a 5 from me :)
Actually, That was done on purpose. I wanted the thing to have some kind of an "antique" look. But if it's not working, I'm gonna try to clean it up a bit.

A cleaned up version without the ragged edges effect.

This is the file I'm gonna submit. It includes a small Tee for placement. If you've got any last comments to make, now is the time to do so.
Sorry about the multiple posts without pics, the site went a little crazy on me |
