I was messing around with some overlapping effects and threw together this picture of John "The Duke" Wayne. It still has some editing to do, but I was curious to what its reaction would be.

Is white the only colour?

I didn't mean to steal a specific artist's style or anything. Though I am fairly sure Warhol did some John Wayne portraits.

I made a few adjustments. I got rid of the lips so it looks less like Jimmy Carter and more like John Wayne. Also added a few wrinkles and condensed the circles in a few spots.

Not sure about the pink hat.

I added the bandanna, but I don't know how I feel about it. I also flattened transparency in illustrator, but it doesn't look like it has affected the quality.

The bandanna was a good choice. What color shirt would you do? I like the pastel feel of it.

I think that the bandanna looks the best on the design. Without it, It looks like a floating head

I really like the style of it. And it's definitely best with the bandana. Maybe change his eyes, though, so that they look a little less blank.

Threadless declined the submission because they were afraid it might infringe on copyrights. Too bad.
