theoretical vs practical mathmatics.

Any comments, critic, input is appreciated.
Shall I give the girl a pen? What do you think of the shading of tha hands? Does it look right – is it needed? Im not so sure about the shirt colour as well.

Pretty Cool. You may want to make the writing/math more distinct from the people. Also, the lines around alpha look a little strange.

Is this going in the "right" colour direction? Made it more pale.

The colours are much better in the second draft. You should think about organizing the type alittle better... seems to just be thrown on there.. looks awkward...

I agree with giving the boy a body. The idea you had about giving the girl a pen would also bee good.

Work on the text, and also, please show us the up-close version with an actual shirt color for the background. Right now it's really confusing where the girl's arms and shirt stop,etc.

How about placing the boy behind the girl like in class this will do away with much of his body and bend the trajectory line and reposition the formula ?

This is threadless afterall...so I think the girl should be the one doing the harder math/shooting the spitball. As the instigator, she should have a sassy red mop. Also...that formula doesn't seem correct...its incomplete at best - what is angle alpha? and...usually trig functions aren't used in polynomial ballistic equations.

great idea. i appreciate things like this when the math (in this case) is accurate. so, i would find out the actual equation for this. also, the alpha doesn't really look like an alpha. he should have more body, the placement should be a little lower, and yes, give her a pen.

I really like this design, but yes, I think the boy should also have a body and the girl a pen. I like the placement on the t-shirt though....looks good.

ok, changed a few things:
- new arrangement
- new font
- body for the boy
- pen for the girl
- slightly different colours
- new alpha
asked a few people about the math, and most told me this one would be right.

Hey I'm obviously not the math genius, for I don't really get the math equation and all. Haha.

But the design seems much more complete now with the boy's boy and the pen for the girl.
One question though, whats the yellow thing new the boy's feet?

Interesting idea, but I'm not sure how many artists have a firm understanding of Newtonian physics. It just might not reach a wide enough audience to be successful.
I do know physics but there's no way in hell I'd wear a physics shirt. I'd burn a physics shirt...but that's about it.
