My suggestion is to create a concept around an angry octopus, not just put an angry octopus on a shirt.

I really like this one the way it is. The design is clean and bold, I'm not too sure if adding a background wouldn't make it a bit too cluttered. Anyway, will be interesting to see what you do.

I'm thinking of adding a little submarine in there. Not sure how to incorporate it though...

that octopus means business

I would change the look of the sub propeller bubbles to match the ones of the octopus, stylewise.

It wouldn't convey the right kind of motion though... as-is, its creating frothy churned up bubbles, whereas the octopus is emitting air bubbles. I think I will revise the octopus' bubbles though.

What if one of the tenticles on the right side of the shirt reached all the way back around the shirt rolled up in a big fist ready to pound the sub or just about to wrap itself around the sub. Either way i think you need to lose the holes in his tenticles. i know it was a deign thing, but it's not working and if you want to take my advice about the tenticle going around the shirt, you will have to lose the holes anyway. My 2¢

I mean the left side of the shirt, coming from behiind the sub. It would add that I see the front now I see the back and get the twist kind of effect.

I really like this. I think you could experiment with more interaction between the octopus and the submarine, as others have suggested.

yeah, oops, I accidentaly put the tentacles on the wrong side on the back. Should be coming out the other side to be attached to the octopus. I'll give those suggestions a try; I really like the idea of having the octopus about to attack the sub.

I like this a lot, just, the bubbles would be cooler as vector, but that's me personally. I like it a lot though, it's a very nice idea and I'm a fan of the Japanese expxression marks. :)

Changed the bubbles to suit the style of the octopus more.

i love the suckers at the end of the tentacles. They charm me for some reason, angry octopus or not.

I like this....I might change the placement of the submarine tho....looks like it should be down a little more....

this is really cute. I love the submarine. I'm not really sure what that black symbol on its head is though. I think this could look good on other color shirts too.

The rings on the end of his tentacles are the suckers. I see what you're saying about the lower placement as well.

I think some eyebrows might be in order. The usually make or break a facial expression in japanimation!
