This is very much a work in progress but I\'d really value any & all your opinions on how I might make it better?

I\'ve still got to add shadows and shading but what I guess I\'d really like to know is:
- Do you get it - the concept that is?
- What would you like to see changed or added to make it better?
- What about the colours
- What do you think it should be called - \"identity Crisis\" \"Mistaken Identity\" \"Usual Suspects\" \"???\"

I like it... but I think it's difficult to immediately pic up on the concept. After some consideration - I guess it's a hit and run and this is the line-up. I'm not really convinced it's gonna get off the ground, to be honest - but hopefully someone will be more help than me!

Also - to make the pecs look less like man-boobs - make them start closer to the armpit.

lol, i agree with fatheed about the man boobs.. i think one of them should be a little more suspicious than the others.. like a little dirty or an elbow/foot bending the wrong way.. and one looking at his watch? i dunno i think id like to see them more human like, but subtle.. like with the watch or glasses.

also i didnt pick up on the concept immediately but seeing those dummies all in a row made me want to figure it out! i think itll look really good on that blue after all the shading is done.

o, about the name i think Indentity Crisis is the best one, they all look the same and crash dummies are always in some kind of crisis.

maybe have a guy with a bandaged foot or arm in a cast trying to id them?

thanks a heap guys! interesting idea about dressing them up into real-life characters but maybe this might distract from the concept as they will all start to look different and thats the whole idea behind this is that they all look the same and therefore its hard to tell which crash test dummy was involved in the accident - I also like the foot idea - anyone else?

ya I was thinking a granny silhouette in the foreground but it might get a bit busy?

It’s taken me 40 days and 2 nights work to do a leg! That must be some kind of record. As you can see I’m adding a lot more detail and intending to give each dummy its own personality (seedy underworld characters) as well as a number plate dog tag hanging around their neck. I am also considering putting the drivers arm in a sling so you know he’s been in an accident. I will try to be more active with this critique and update with more body parts very very soon – in the mean time any and all comments and suggestions welcome!

love ur winner so much,,,,,,,,, hmm bout this one,, i think u have to think more bout it and dont rush,,, its still kinda missing the spirit and deep character most or ur winners got,, i got no problem kinda with lower part but as for upper body proportions and hows its shaped they kinda look like they have billy, and drunken ones so maybe u can use this,, and like give each character on fat drunk other thin and work on their diff face and expressions,

Ok guys this is it – I’ve finally pulled my finger out & made some head way with this. I’ve added all the body parts & shading and I think the colors working well. I’m refraining from adding to much character to each dummy as I don’t want them to be too animated or human-like as the idea here is it’s hard to pick which one done the crime (hit & run) as they all look the same. If you guys can think of anything which can be added or changed to make this stronger please feel free to make suggestions. Cheers eM

It's a pretty nice idea, maybe make the wheel a little bit more behind his back though. The colors are good, maybe make all their faces they same dull look, I dont really like the expressions too much.

actually, looking back on it, I kinda like the blue shirt.

too be honest though, I like your first version the best, the first with the blue. The colors just work so well with that, and it is simple in a good way. This is actually a step down, too much detail.

jez I wish I knew that 70 odd days ago! To be fair though I think the detail I've added is more in keeping with my style and execution I undertand you probably prefer the more clean cartoon style & each to their own - the colour preference is interesting too maybe I'll sub 2 colour options - cheers for the info

I don't think this is a step down at all. You should definitely sub the two color options though because this would look great on blue too. The first dummies expression is awesome! 'you talkin to me?'

your robots look like they have tiny guts!!! that made me chuckle. it reminds me of a robot version of the usual suspects. you did a nice job adding shading.
