Gave my boys some feather sheen and some more reflection on their metallic bits. Also re-worked the color scheme to go with some different shirt colors; I'm thinking silver, forest or eggplant.

Also, drat: you can't change the aspect ratio of subsequent versions of a critique. If you try, it just squooshes it down. Ah well, live and learn.

Whaddaya think, sirs?

Note to self: a bit more highlighting on the feathers of the hat, something better with light & shadow on the substance of the hats, fix the crown reflections, fix the center bird's claws.

The center crow seems a little flat - maybe fix the perspective?

^ agree. It kinda looks like a lady bug right now. . .

I think ladybug needs more body behind the cape -- it will then quite possibly transform into a clad crow..

Still needs beady bird eyes.

I really like the expression on the one with the beret.

I know you can't change the aspect ratio, but I'd love to see one with the aspect ratio changed.

Also, as loathe as I am to admit that purple might not be the best backing color for something. I think part of why the center crow looks so odd is being against the purple. The grey version over to the side shows a lot more definition, but if you could find some other way to set off the tail against the purple that might help.

Err, which is to say that I think making them slightly taller to how wide they are would help the middle crow as well.
