A new look on the classic Jolly Roger that\'s all 80\'s.



Tried to make the cassette tape look like a skull. I\'m struggling with whether or not to leave the tape and bones filled in with white or not.



Any suggestions?

i'd clean up the edge a little more. maybe change the colors on the other shirts to see what it would look like if you left them filled.

SO, aside from the old Pirate Bay logo (which I didn't know existed until rAmpantDesigns pointed it out) what do people think?



I know the edges are a little fuzzy, but I can never get them to come out right when making my preview gif so any help with that would be awesome too.

I like it, but not on those colors. maybe make the joints of the femurs more pronounced, and fix the edges. If you are using paint shop pro, instead of saving it as a gif why don't you export it to a jpg? that way you can choose quality and still keep it the required kb limit. Anything else I have no clue about.

Okay, so I have my new design, but for some reason when I try to up load it it gets stretched all funky. If someone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it.

oh wow! I like the design, it's a cool idea. The bright colors are especially 80's.

Thanks for the critique! I think for yours (although I like it), I would maybe add a distress filter to it to make it look older or something, maybe more worn out and 'retro'. Other than that, looks tight!

ooh i didnt like this at first but after my eyes ajusted i really really like this! i agree with eric but other than that woot!

Added some distress to make the design look a bit more retro. Not sure how I feel about it so I posted one without it on the previous version. Also made the tape bigger as suggested.

I think keep it one colour, but I really like it.



Perhaps the bones need distressing a bit more round the edges like the tape but it's a nice spin on the tape design.

Added more distress and white behind the tape. Trying to decide if I should go with the white and black or just black.

I think i like the white with the black better but i think it looks about good either way

I like just black, however...and in a grey T-shirt : I think that it would give a more tenebrous aspect. But itīs only my opinion.

I think you should add a background of some sort.

I like the idea, even I think i've seen it someware and more squared, but, in case you are talking about retro, all that 80's style... i would have a look of So Me style (the Ed Banger designer), or even The Zonders style:

I liek this design, original, and i also like how you didn't choose the expected shirt color for it. The greena dn yellow make it that much better. I don;t like how rough the design is tho. I understand the look you were going for but it actually looks like sloppy work instead. Could be sharpened up a bit.

I like the two color. It looks like a label that has worn or been peeled off... The shirt color doesn't have the same effect. I don't think I would change anything and I like it on the yellow best.

Besides the whole piratebay thing, I would like to be able to read retro pirate. Also, the distruction is odd, it makes the shape of an "M" and it bothers me. Turn the white background on the tape to a different contrasting color to the shirt. Don't lose it completely.

^^ agreed. the white seems too overpowering - too much contrast.
