i like the concept quite a bit, but yea i think most of the 'needs' work are because you haven't showed any sort of layout. i think it might be cool to have them in a vertical line.

which placement?

i like the vertical placement the best. and the progressive order makes the shirt more interesting. i actually didnt even get the 1234 thing until i saw it lined up like that. love the artwork!

this is nice, but i have to confess that mezo's design is the first thing i thought of as well.



the colors feel a little uninspired to me. it might be more fun on a bright-colored shirt. good luck!

tiphaine, do you think i should scrap the idea because mezo has one like it? i've never run into this problem before.

whoa, dude, i didn't say anything like that. but if you're going to sub it, you should be prepared for comparisons, and if i were in your shoes i'd look at ways to minimize those upfront so voters don't get hung up on it. while i think the current composition is the best one, it's kinda not doing you any favors in that regard.



i know you think the idea is different, but i'm curious to hear your rationale. it seems like the same idea to me. i don't think that has to be a dealbreaker, but i do think it's worth taking into consideration.

i voted needs work, btw, mainly b/c of the colors. i also think that the presentation looks a little hasty on this last one.

oh, no, i wasn't saying that you said to scrap it! haha, i didn't mean to sound hasty. im going to rework the colors, for sure, thanks for your input on this.



i think that maybe because i spent time on this, its tough realizing that its not completely original. i definitely love mezo's design, but i think mine is simpler, it doesn't have text or decorations. also, hers was 1 2 3 cycle, mine is more 1234. i know its similar, but this has to do more with wheels, more than bikes.



but that's just semantics, right? i do wish there was some kind of "design checker" where you can compare your designs to those that are similar before you get too far along ;)

i hear you, and i do think the differences you called out are key. it's a sucky situation for sure; i've been there myself. still, i really do think this is nice and look forward to seeing where you go with it. for some reason i really want to see it on a nice bright color like orange or aqua or green with some big loud highlights...
