the shirt colors look bad with the design

Ok, give suggestions on what color you think will work. Don't just hit don't submit and not say anything people, this is critique and I know the illustration is not all that bad. Suggestions please?

Your grey spot is used inconsistently. I'd suggest reworking the way it sits on her shoulder. To cast a shadow on the top right, as such, there would have to be a spotlight below, and to the left. That's not where the lighting is that's casting shadows on her face. Other than that, it's fine.

3. What T-shirt color works if none of the ones I chose doesn't work?

There has to be a reason why "don't submit" are selected instead of "needs work". I took a lot of time on this illustration so please suggest, critique... more please!

I don't think it really looks like Angelina. But I don't think I can help with suggestions... only because it is too slutty for my tastes.

I am serious, but you don't need to appologize. I have seen far more riske submissions that have bothered me much more. It's just not something I would ever wear.

I think maybe it's the shading (refering to Kojima's statement)



To MyNameIsVex - I don't ask if you would wear it, I place it in critique to get your and others view on the concept and design, you know... a constructive critique. Just saying it's just slutty really does me no good.

I obviously understand the concept of a critique and why someone would sub a design as a critique. That is why I apologized for not being able to help. But I suppose, just trying to look at the colors... you should try a purple shirt instead of gray. People seem to like purple shirts.

I'm with MyNameIsVex. To be honest I'm a big fan of the artwork and I think you've got fantastic style, but the subject is not something I'd ever wear and most of this stuff turns me off, so I can't really help with critiquing as I'm really unsure.

Really guys, I understand that this may not be your cup of tea, and that you may not wear this..... but, if its drawn you in enough to comment on it , atleast let your comments be constructive critiques, and not just the fact that you wouldn't wear it, because I honestly think there's a good amount of people who would wear it.

And thanks for the tee color suggestion MyNameIsVex.... that's all I'm asking for.... a critique to make it better for those who may want to wear it, that's all.

thanks for your suggestions! as for this shirt, I like the design, & I think the cream colored version, looks nice alligned to the lower right. it looks better than the darker shirt thats kinda akwardly positioned. maybe centering it would work also!

the small desine makes her loko like she is going to have a baby, but i like ever thing else.

I really like the concept. However the heart design makes it seem a bit top heavy. If you are going to keep the design the way it is the move it up towards a shoulder. I'm not sure how it would look moving the heart down to the bottom or removing it completely. I'm afraid that if you did, it would make it look empty or turn it into just another "chick on a t-shirt" design. I'd say just trying to play with the placement. Good design though.

i think this shirt is REALYL SEXY! im a huge black, gray and red person so i like the design on the slate shirtthe best but the natural works too. good job, def submit soon! :D

also i really like the heart. if u agree its topheavy then i suggest placing it as u did on the gray one. that way the heart would actually be OVER the wearer's real heart. and yea it's sexy (but not necessarily slutty) which is why I wouldn't wear it myself. its like how the cutesy designs are for girls only. but I don't see why a guy would not enjoy this!

the illustration is GORGEOUS!

but the giant swirly heart i can live without.

i would minimize the heart a little bit... it's almost too much of a focal point at the moment, IMO. i'd almost make it a different shade of the t-shirt colour so that it's less in-your-face.



i would also tone down the nipple... it's quite pointy, and that's one thing that might discourage people... and perhaps why a long time ago, someone called this design "slutty."

Maybe if you somehow toned down the heart a bit - made a bit more space between its swirls or something? And I would also continue the black swirls at the bottom a bit further up - making her breast less of a focal point.

I really like the design on the white shirt though - and that placement works better than the placement on the grey. Great general design.
