This is the octobrella...or umbrellapus (but that seems dirtier). Printed with 4 puffy high-density inks, and two-color gradient bubble drops.



Your thoughts? I know there have been a high volume of octopus-related designs lately, and brown shirts, but I couldn\'t help myself.

The idea is good, but I agree the bubbles need work...they look too flat with all the texture that is in the octopus.

And maybe make the umbrella idea more obvious....change up the handle or make the body more umbrella shaped.

I really love the vibrant colors in this! It definitely stands out. I agree with the poster ahead of me about the superrich texture of the octopus vs. the bubbles.

either take out the umbrella handle, and make it just an octopus design, or make it more obvious. but I'm not really interested by an octopus-umbrella. What's next, a toothbrush giraffe? a snake rake? it's just not terribly clever.

I just thought it would be funny if an octopus had an extra tentacle that resembled an umbrella handle.

I think it needs to be a person walking down the street being consumed by their own octopus umbrella

the bubbles should match the drawing style of the octopus.

i think you should also work on the octopus, did u draw it yourself, because it looks too photo edited... but if u did draw it try to make it look less pixely

oh and the bubbles arn't just 1 color so idk how many you used but all together it cant be more than 8

I tried to make the bubbles more textured, and they are a gradient.

I added some webbing between the tentacles to make it more of an umbrella.

Have the tenticals on the right go out a little more, if you're making it look like an umbrella. Other than that, it's a good design. :)

Tentacled sea creatures ... so hot right now. Kind of "The Flintstones" meet "The Little Mermaid"



If you're going to extend the webbing, I say keep the same style as the rest of the octopus.



I think a different context might help too. Instead of the bubbles, maybe show who would use an octobrella. Perhaps the octobrella could be shown with some similar apparatus; the blowfish and hammerhead shark seem likely candidates.
