maybe if by climbing up to reach the star they were creating a star themselves? so bunch up some more of those creatures in a kind of tilted star shape wit the top one reaching for the star?

illustrate the characters better. Clean them up. Colours are great. So don't change them, also it matches with the Tee colour very well. Stars should be illustrated better too. Here are some links of illustrators which make very fine characters. Let it inspire you, but don't copycat. Keep you're own style but just try to improve it.
