Not a bad idea, i saw something in a similar style, perhaps you could increase the density of the text/ swirls and remove the clover and allow the text / swirls to act as the design more.

yeah, I'm working on it. so i could remove the clover but the text and swirls still bring out the shape.

reverse the colors so the words make up the clover shape.

and put it on a cream shirt.

Ummmmmm, light yellow... I think.

AHA! Another tired cliche revitalized. I love it when everybody says a light bulb or a maze or a heart or a skull, or an arrow or a target or in this case, a 4 leaf clover, should be avoided because its been done to death and then somebody comes along and gives it CPR and tells every nay sayer to go to hell. Great idea, beautifully executed. I have two suggestions and they're minimal. You don't need the pointed green stuff at the bottom, just close up the Asian characters a bit and it will form the stem and look more natural. I've never seen a pointy-stemmed shamrock. As far as colors go, the design has a lot of air within it and I think a light shirt adds to the fragility. Herb Lubalin, master typographer/calligrapher, used to put the thinnest calligraphy on the darkest colors and somehow make it look unbreakable. So, try white on dark green and see what happens. Please not kelly green, I hate kelly. Also, don't worry if you don't get printed you could probably sell a zillion of these in one day if you set up shop along 5th Avenue on St. Pat's day. Great job, I hope this prints

I (as usual) agree with quister. Do away with the pointy and try it on a darker color and it would be absolutely amazing.

i can do away with the pointy but i'm concerned that the clover wouldn't stand out on a darker background unless of course, i brighten the color of the clover.

like maybe a darker yellow with it looks good but lose the pointer

Try a really light green or white ink on a dark shirt (again, as quister said. I should just follow him around and nod.)

d'oh back at you. I'll bet there isn't a person on the planet that would be able to tell you that the pointy green stuff is luck running out, unless of course, you're there to explain it. Another d'oh... you don't have to worry about the clover not standing out of a dark color if you make it white, which I pointed out in my last critique.

I like this one, I just think that the asian symbols tear away from the celtic theme.

White on green looks the best, followed by green on white. The other colors look muddy and boring. I'd also suggest that you place the image on an actual model instead of a blank tee template. It will look better that way.

White on forest, or green on white. I'm not crazy about the other colors. Although gold foil on black does sound kind of fun. :)

what about working in imagery like a rabbit's foot, coin, or other lucky embems?

this is a really awesome design. the stem bothers me though, the chinese letters look very cut and paste while everything else flows together in that cool, ornate font. if you made the stem like the rest of the design i think this would be perfect

it's too straight up and down... maybe try rotating it a bit? And I still like the gold foil idea. this would look nice with that flare! Just my opinion.

I like the latest one the best, nice colour on the black.



The stem (right?) of the clover, you know, not the leaves but the other thingie xD Has a little hole in it near the bottom. Not much to fix there, just add another one of those symbols.

The design is really good. I am just not sure it belongs on a shirt yet. There is so much going on and the placement seems awkward. It needs to be rettooled using scale, placement and color to simplify and balance the design.

This is looking pretty brilliant, maybe add a bit of dirtniness around the edged to imply the shape a bit more...

Other than that, I dig it, a real schnazzy style you've got.

any specific suggestions on the size and placement? bigger, smaller? higher or lower?

I think it's ready as is, placement and colourwise.

golden foil, yes. :)

reflect light to create the gold effect. but i'm not sure if my design's too complicated to be printed in gold foil.
