Color ideas please!!

Interesting, but maybe try your design a little smaller and on a black t-shirt to make the colors pop.

thats a good idea. black may be too harsh though... i think our eyes naturally see the empty space where the people are clearer on white though. They seem a bit lost on black for some reason.

I really like the style, illustration and color gradient. I don't know about shirt color...white/cream as pictured doesn't look bad to me, but may look plain to others.

I think it's pretty cool what you're doing. I've been really interested in the concept of negative space recently, so I dig how you've gone and created the main part of the shirt out of emptiness. I just don't know how it translates to a t-shirt. I think it's an interesting piece of art, but I wouldn't wear it on a t-shirt.

I agree on the cream colored t shirt.. the colors are pretty sweet and would pop a lot more on a darker shirt.

hmm. what would be some good options? a color that isn't too dark, but would make the colors stand out more.

but maybe make some of the vibes or another layer of vibes like ripples radiating off the people

to try it on black you can do like a scratch off thing where you first make a layer with all the color and then put another layer of black on it and then just erase all the lines

but then I think I like the people in white

The color is a bit difficult to visualize with this design, maybe do a test by yourself by backing it on different colors...but to be honest I really think that the color you have here fits it.

that was another idea i had in mind... to have it all in white and then stick the whole thing on the shirt... because the people look a lot better on lighter colors, i promise.



the negative space doesn't work on dark colors.

I like it. Perfect design. This might look good with black or white ink on a "blue jean" shirt.

nice design and flow, it looks kinda like they're floating, the colors are ok, i like them it would look really good gigantic-like on a shirt, you could change them if you wanted to, but i dunno wht to, so ya, good job :)

maybe a hair line, And I think if you added nipples it would be more pleasing to the eye. I know it sounds weird but it would bring a more satisfying balance to the work. (like the toenails on the feet)

Love the colour gradient! But if you did it on a dark blue or brown shirt with lighter colours it may have more impact.

people always seem to think that colors pop more on dark tees, but i disagree. color can pop just as nicely on white. or other light colors. have you thought about flock ink? i guess post a few color options so we can see.

It might just be me, but wouldn't buy a shirt with a rainbow transition on it. Id like to see it in one color. No more than 3.



Just to mix it up, what if the smaller figure was gazing up and to the left, with longer eyelashes. Might get more of a man and women feel then.

Doesn't need changing in my opinion. Very nice. Might be worth trying on black just to see how it looks.

It's eerie I like that. If you keep it rainbowed then I'd stick with the cream tee, but if it was one or two colors then you could conceivably go with a really light color like yellow or light green. I vote for keeping them nipple free, I like the ambiguity.

I would like his and hers postures to be a bit more unique to each. I know they are supposed to mirror eachother but they are too similar. Let's assume boy is on left and girl on right.

Suggest, girl has a suggestion of a waist. Eyebrows are less broad than males.

Male. suggest nose a bit diff to female's.



Also, I am a bit hypnotised by their, erm, crotches. Maybe I am a bit unhinged. The solid line between their legs is a bit too eyecatching.



The beam (neg space) from girl's arm is?

I like it! I think white is underrated, and works well with a design like this. I think my only complaint is the faces of the two figures look a little too similar, and I'd like it more if they were a little more individual. Also, now that wish-ga mentions it, I can't help but see that solid line in their crotches... it is a little... distracting.

My favorites personally are the white and cream. Understated and nice. Dark colors really dont work on this one because it ruins the negative space which doesn't translate well in negative.

Much improved, I really enjoy how you got rid of the solid line between their legs, and I enjoy the bold use of images and incorporation of negative space.



It is hard to mirror images and not have a boring symmetrical image, but I think you pulled this one off. It's assymmetrical and symmetrical at the same time.
