This is lovely! I think the tail needs to be a little curvier / smokier, and I think the texture needs to extend further down the smoke/tail thing.

i like the angular tail. The only critique I have is that the overall composition makes the thing look like its about to topple over. How does it look straightened it up?

version two looks better. If it doesn't look too skewed, try to make the lighter totally vertical.
