This image is modified from a photograph taken by a friend of mine.
The story that goes along with it is wonderful.
He was in France at a museum, and he spotted this old couple sitting nearby.
What caught his attention was the fact that they were both nearly blind (note the white canes) and the lady was quite deaf (note his sweet hand on hers as he clearly and QUITE louldly repeats himself to her...and how she leans toward him to hear better.
This picture captures the beauty of long lasting love, the sublime joy of the ironic, and it has two nice chairs in it--and I love chairs!
Here is a sepia version...I almost like it better...
dont really like the way it kinda cuts off... the illustration is real cool though!! just needs better blending in, to become "one with the shirt" if you know what i mean
I had considered giving it a frame, then I considered fading off the edges but I was worried about losing elements of the picture that I liked. and I thought a frame was too harsh...
I added film reel to frame up the pic and take care of those harsh edges.
The beauty of all this is the photo that this is from hung in the home of a late and great woman who owned a movie poster store and absolutely LOVED movies...she was my iMDB before the iMDB.
Anyhow, poetic or not, I'd like to know how the film frame works for all of you out there...feedback is appreciated!
