It should almost be a Doc Marten, or would the Nazi/skinhead connection be too strong?
|
|
lunchboxbrain on Dec 06 '07
^Yeah, I'm not a fan of Doc's anyways. I thought a good old winter boot should do the trick.

professorE on Dec 06 '07
Plus, it may need some fill, or outline the speech bubble. It seems to outweigh the boot.

this is a better idea than i could ever imagine
when you color it, maybe go w/ a thicker boot-string (in fact, you could go w/ a fun pattern there. lemonalle posted a link to professor shoestring that i'll try to find. might be a neat way to add an extra design element. oh yeh look at me babbling in parenthasis!). |

for all you "needs work" clickers, let me know what you'd like to see on this

I don't think adding the caption "DOS Boot" would hurt it, and even 'nerds' might not get it right away without it.
But it's your design obviously, it might be better without it. |

I'd like to see more difference in line width - obviously the outline needs to be thicker than the detail lines.
Have a play with highlight and shadow outlines too. |

corey9 on Dec 06 '07
nice! i agree, i think changing up some of the line widths would really pull this together.
perfect colors! |

jacobcarrollingalls on Dec 06 '07
I don't think that it needs any more color. It kind of echoes the lack of color in DOS.

w/color. your thoughts?

I like the previous version. But like people said, experiment with the line widths. It's a good shirt though, clever... :)
