i like it.. but i do think it is missing something... what does it look like without the surfboard shape...

maybe place the figure on something else...

yeah. I'm not completely digging the surfboard shape either. But I do think that you need something as a backdrop to the violinist. Maybe if it was a square instead of oval... I don't know though. Maybe not.

all I would do is break the frame at the bottom, maybe with her hair. The same way you have broken out at the top with the violin and her leg.
