i think you should just have a line of dancers metamorphosing, not the big dancers. and i think a single line would look better on the chest, without wrap around.

Hmm. I've been debating the wrap-around, but I'm afraid the graphic will be to small if I do it on the chest.

Showing two different placement options.

I like the concept and I like the placement on the grey shirt. Lost the red shirt design though, it weakens the overall design. you may want to try and enlarge it if you can though... just to have the image be a little more prominent on the shirt.

This placement is really getting the best of me. I feel like the top placement leaves too much empty space, but I don't know what to do with it. Hmmm.

Looking back at the second version, I really liked the large picture. What about putting that back on the front in about the same place and then have the piano keys on the front with the metomorphosis unfurling on the back?

Hmm. It's a thought. The large picture was getting largely negative response. I'm a little bit hesitant to put the metamorphosis on the back, though, as it should be the focus of the shirt.

have you tried what it might look like if you turned it the other way round, as in, the keys turning into the dancers? just a thought.

Well, I think it would be about the same aesthetically, but I guess it would change the imagery a bit.

I like the growing in size idea. I still think it needs to be a little more prominent on the shirt. Also, what about adding some noted in the air along with the keys? Maybe starting out rough and becoming refined as well.

This obviously still needs some cleaning up, but what do you guys think about the change in size?

It's a nice concept, but I think it needs movement. If the dancing couple spun some from one "frame" to the next it would work better for me.

It shouldn't go quite all the way around, and I can shorten it if need be. I think the width limit is something like 22 inches, but I've forgotten now.

I think I'll submit it with both options, but I agree.

I like it better wrapping around the bottom opposed to the chest. Over all, well executed design, the transforming between the dancers and piano keys looks really well done.

Something's been bugging me about this design for days, but I couldn't work out what it was. Suddenly I've realised. The dancers in the early pictures are noticeably in the same pose and so it looks a bit copy/paste.



You've gone some way towards correcting that as now the dancers get gradually smaller, creating the impression of movement, but I would like it even more if you showed them from slightly different angles, so it looked like they were twirlng before they transformed into the keyboard.

I've been considering that point, richardofyork, and it is a good one. My main concern about it is not that it will take a bit of work to pull off, but rather that trying to do so will make it more difficult to successfully pulling off the metamorphosis. That said, I think I'll take another look at it.

I really like it! The only suggestion I would make is maybe continue the piano keys all the way round the back, or maybe a reverse metamorphosis? But all in all, nice work!

I had the piano keys longer before, but Threadless has a width limit on what they can print and I don't want to run into difficulty with that.

The only thing that i would suggest as it goes down into the piano keys (on the back) make the keys smaller? this might look nice as it would sort of follow the pattern of it getting smaller and smaller. i really love this design alot.

Ok here is my criticism.. I think that the final metamorphosis should be rendered to be a lot more realistic then it is, and each one following could use a touch more detail. so that it leads up to the final one better.



Otherwise what this reminds me of is a shape tween in a flash animation.

I don't think I have that skill, DaniellesGarden! Thanks for the comment, though. It's very possible that you're right, I just don't know how I would accomplish that. I probably need more practice.

honestly, I think maybe if they just had faces it would help.. but you have a lot more people telling you that this is ready to submit then dont.. so go for it.. Im just one person.

But of course I'm racked with self-doubt. Haha. Oh well, maybe I'll just take the plunge.

Ultimately, you can't please everyone. Even winning designs don't seem to score very highly in the final vote.
