Contest Details:

The prizes are: two (2) Grand Prizes and twenty (20) First Prizes.
The Grand Prize consists of: Round trip tickets for 2 from your location to Chicago, Dinner at Ballo in downtown Chicago, Table service in the VIP suite at Crobar Chicago, One (1) night accomodations for 2 at the W Hotel, $250 dollars of spending money.

Raise your hand if you're tired of being alone on Valentine's Day. Go on, no need to be embarrassed. Well, we sure are! Because of this, we have decided to throw ourselves out there and give our faithful members a chance to win a date with Threadless!

Boys and girls are both welcome to submit - beggars can't be choosers! To be eligible for the contest, you must be at least 21 years of age and reside in the continental United States. There is, of course, no purchase to enter, although you must be a member of the Threadless community to enter.

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS CONTEST

1.ELIGIBILITY:  This Contest is open only to legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States and Washington D.C. (excluding Alaska and Hawaii), who are 21 years of age or older at the time of their entry.  Entry to this Contest begins at 9:00 am (Central Time) on January 19, 2006 and ends at 11:59 pm (Central Time) on February 3, 2006.  Employees and their immediate families of Sponsor and its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parent and related companies, and agencies are not eligible to enter or win.  This contest is void where prohibited or restricted and outside of the 48 continental United States and Washington D.C.

2.HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.  Beginning on January 18, 2006, you may only enter online at Threadless.com by submitting a paragraph, 250 words or less in the provided space, explaining why you love Threadless.com.  Entries containing expletive language or other subject matter deemed offensive will not be considered for the prize.  Additionally, entrants must create a Threadless Street Team profile (which will include your name, address, city, state, zip code, telephone number, age and email address), if the entrant has not done so already (http://threadless.com/login).  Any entry information collected from the Contest shall be used only in a manner consistent with the consent given by entrants at the time of entry and with skinnyCorp, Inc.’s On-Line Privacy Policy, which can be found at: (http://threadless.com/help#What_is_your_privacy_policy).  All entries become property of Sponsor and will be used only in connection with the Contest.  Limit one entry per person and per email address.  Each entrant must be the rightful owner (or have authorized use) of the e-mail address identified in the entrant’s entry as of January 18, 2006.  All entries must be received by 11:59 pm (Central Time) on February 3, 2006.  In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner, the winner will be deemed to be the person in whose name the e-mail account governing the e-mail address was opened.  Entrants must provide all information requested to be eligible to win.  Incomplete or unreadable entries will be disqualified.

3.SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS.  From among all of the eligible essays received, winning essays will be selected by a panel of judges from within skinnyCorp, Inc. who will be basing their judgment on the creativity and originality of the eligible essays received.  The eligible essays will be judged on February 4th and 5th, 2006, with notification to the winning essayists on February 6, 2006.  All decisions of the judges are final in all matters relating to the Contest.  The winners will be required to respond to the e-mail notification within 48 hours  of attempted notification.  The failure to respond timely to the notification will result in forfeiture of the prize and, in such case, Sponsor will select an alternate winner from among the remaining eligible entries.  The e-mail notification will also include an Affidavit of Eligibility/ Release of Liability/ Publicity Release which must be executed and returned within 5 days of issuance.  All winners will be responsible for any and all Federal, State and/or Local taxes resulting from acceptance of the prize, and cannot assign or transfer the prize to another person.  No cash or prize substitution is allowed except at the discretion of Sponsor.  Failure to return all required documents in this time period may result in the winner being disqualified and an alternate winner selected.  If a winning notification is returned to Sponsor as undeliverable or if an entrant is found to be ineligible for any reason, an alternate winner will be selected.  If necessary due to unavailability of the Grand Prize, a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded at the discretion of the Sponsor.  

4.PRIZES.  GRAND PRIZE:  Two (2) Grand Prize winning essayists will each win a trip for two (2) to Chicago, Illinois, consisting of: (a) round-trip economy-class air transportation for two (2) from the major airport with regularly scheduled flights closest to the winner’s permanent residence to Chicago (or ground transportation at Sponsor’s discretion if winner resides within a 250-mile radius of Chicago); (b) one (1) nights standard hotel accommodations  (one double occupancy room and room tax only) in the Chicago area; (c) dinner at a Chicago area restaurant of Sponsor’s choosing with members of the Threadless.com office; and (d) $250 spending money.  The total approximate retail value (“ARV”) of each Grand Prize is $1,250, depending on location of winner’s residence.

FIRST PRIZES:  Twenty (20) First prize winners will each receive one (1) $20 gift certificate for use exclusively on Threadless.com.  

The total (“ARV”) of all prizes is $3,500.

Grand Prize winner’s guest must be 21 years of age or older.  Winner and Guest must travel on same itinerary on dates to be designated by Sponsor, and must have valid identification and any other documents necessary for travel.  Grand Prize winners will be responsible for all applicable travel and other insurance, all applicable airport charges including without limitation, any excess baggage charges, airport taxes, fuel charges and any applicable Customs or Federal inspection fees; and tickets are not transferable, refundable or redeemable.  Blackout dates and certain other travel restrictions may apply.

5.CONDITIONS.  Contest is subject to these Official Rules.  By participating, entrants agree: (i) to be bound by these complete Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor which shall be final and binding; and (ii) to waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Contest or these Official Rules.  By accepting a prize, winners agree to release skinnyCorp, Inc. and Threadless.com, together with the respective directors, employees, officers, licensees, licensors and agents of each, including without limitation, any person or entity associated with the production, judging, or administration of the Contest, (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all liability, loss or damage arising from or in connection with awarding, receipt and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any prize-related activities.  Sponsor reserves the right to use the Contest for publicity purposes in any media, and to use the names, likenesses and hometown names and/or prize information of winners as part of that publicity, without any compensation or prior review unless prohibited by law.  Taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner.  This Contest is void outside the 48 continental United States and Washington D.C. and void where prohibited or restricted by law, and subject to applicable federal, state and local laws.  Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or violating these Official Rules. Sponsor may prohibit you from participating in the Contest or winning a prize if, in their sole discretion, they determine you are attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, hacking, deception, or any other unfair playing practices of intending to abuse, threaten, or harass any other players or Sponsor representatives.  This Contest will be governed by the internal laws of the State of Illinois.  Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this Contest must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction within the United States.  Any attempt to deliberately damage the web site or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be in violation of criminal and civil laws and will result in disqualification from participation in the Contest.  Should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages (including attorney fees) to the fullest extent of the law, including criminal prosecution.
